The six religions worksheet
Today in class we had learned more about the major religions. For example some facts we have learned is even though most migrants learn the language of the new location, they usually retain their religion. Some but not all religions require exclusive adherents, so adopting a new religion could require turning away from the former one. This also leads into another topic such as only a few religions can claim the adherence of large numbers of people. Reliable statistics on the number of adherents are difficult to obtain. Out of all the religions christianity and or islam have the largest numbers of adherents. Christianity is the most widely practiced religion in the Western Hemisphere. Islam is most widely practiced religion in nearly every country of southwest Asia. More than 90 percent of Latin Americans and more than 75 percent of Europeans and North Americans. More facts learned is that India is 80 percent Hindu, whereas Bangladesh and Pakistan are more than 90 percent muslim. The word Islam in Arabic " submission to the willow God" and it has a similar root to the Arabic word for "peace". So basically today we learned all about the facts and the regions where all of these religions are located. I really enjoy learning about tall of the other religions and not just my own. I enjoy seeing other peoples lives and what there day looks like do to there religion like if they pray how do they? Are they sung or spoken? Is it in the morning or all day? And for those who don't have a religion do they just go about there day and not think about praying or a certain god.
